Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Jeremiah 18:6
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
This scripture was specifically for the house of Israel, the Lord’s only covenant people at the time, but it can be applied to us as the New Covenant church as well…
The Lord is shaping us and transforming us. The Lord gave me these two words yesterday ‘shaping and transforming’. Each time you spend time in His presence, transformation takes place in you by His power. When you take time to pray, when you take time to read His living Word, you yield yourself to Him to shape you and design you from the inside out.
Thinking about the clay in the potter’s hand. The potter is holding and touching the clay. The potter is not able to shape and transform clay that is still in the package, but as long as, it’s in his hand, he can create. So it is with us, when we take time to read His Word, meditate on His Word and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, we are yielding to His presence. We are changed from glory to glory in His presence. When you read the bible, you are reading the living Word, you are reading Jesus’ words that produce life.
Make time to read the Word, do what it takes to spend a little time each day …even if it’s just one verse… allow Jesus to touch you and minister to you with His Word and His amazing presence.
The Holy Spirit is shaping and transforming us, taking us from glory to glory, for His glory! – Selah
In His amazing love, Esther
