Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Mark 4:15 (AMP)
These [in the first group] are the ones along the road where the Word is sown; but when they hear, satan immediately comes and takes away the Word which has been sown in them.
The Bible tells us that Jesus sends His Word and heals us… (Psalm 107:20) Jesus says that we can expect satan to attempt to immediately steal the Word before it takes root… the devil comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. The same devil that put sickness or disease on us in the first place comes immediately to steal the healing Word that was sown into us by illegally placing lying symptoms of pain, sickness and disease on us after we have received our healing.
This is why the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 6:12 to “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” Receiving healing (or anything that the Lord gives us) and maintaining healing takes a fight of faith!
The enemy will surround you with false reports, lying symptoms and whatever he can to STEAL what the Lord has given. The question that we have to settle in this war, is what are we going to believe and accept as our reality… what the Word says, or what the doctors or the symptoms are saying? The Word says that you have been healed by the stripes of Jesus… the doctors and the symptoms may say that you are gonna die… WHAT DO YOU SAY?
This is where the FIGHT OF FAITH comes in… maintaining your faith while saying what God says in the presence of many witnesses! Every believer is the healed of the Lord, fighting the fight of faith to continually walk in wholeness and divine health… believers with symptoms of sickness, disease and physical challenges are not the sick, or the broken trying to get healed, they are the healed and the whole using their faith to walk in what the Word says that they are!
I am not talking about walking in denial and telling the doctors that they have misdiagnosed you, what I am saying is that the truth of the Word according to our New Covenant in Christ is our reality that we embrace, believe and walk in by faith.
How can you say that you are healed when you are physically blind, or you have cancer tumors in your body, or you have broken bones, or if the doctor has diagnosed you with a disease? Let me give you an example… let’s say that a poverty stricken, homeless person, living on the street does not know that they are heirs to a fortune… they will continue to live in poverty until they find out about what they truly have! Even after they find out, it may take months for them to access the wealth that belongs to them… they may continue to live in dire circumstances while facing legal challenges and people trying to lie to them out of selfish reasons and who knows what else? Even though they are wealthy on paper, there may be a season between legally OWNING what they have and physically OCCUPYING what they legally have!
Just as in my example, you have been given divine health in Christ, now in order to occupy that divine health you have to get a revelation of what you have, and then you may have to fight the fight of faith to enforce the Word in your life and to bind the devil and his illegal works aimed at stealing what is rightfully yours!
When symptoms of sickness come on me… like a sore throat, I receive communion, stand on my covenant in Christ and declare by faith that I am healed… I even take vitamins and ibuprofen, lol… I rebuke the sickness and declare that I am healed, in Jesus Name… sometimes my throat will feel worse after doing all of that!
I am not swayed by the lying symptoms… I continue to stand, to declare, to get under the anointing and to stay in faith while shaking off all lying symptoms… I am prepared to do this for hours, days, or years if needed… whatever it takes… I will NEVER accept ANYTHING from the devil… I RECEIVE and I accept what the WORD says… that is my reality! Even if the symptoms go away… they may, or may not come back, but if they come back, I reject discouragement and I dig my heels in even deeper in the TRUTH of God’s WORD… It is FOREVER settled that I am the healed of the Lord!
I do this with EVERYTHING that the WORD has given me according to my New Covenant in Christ… Let the thief steal no more… Selah!
