Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 107:19-22 (NKJV)

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.

HERE IS A RECAP ON THE MESSAGE GIVEN AT AMAZING LOVE THIS WEEKEND….

AFTER 40 YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS, GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES IN HARSH CONDITIONS… A NEW GENERATION OF BELIEVERS CRIED OUT TO THE LORD. THEY WERE EMOTIONALLY WOUNDED, MENTALLY WOUNDED AND PHYSICALLY WORN OUT AND WOUNDED. THEY WANTED TO POSSESS THEIR PROMISE, BUT THEY NEEDED HEALING FIRST…

The Hebrew word, translated as ‘healed them’ is râphâh; to mend (by stitching), to cure, to heal, to thoroughly repair, to make whole.

The word translated as ‘destruction’ literally means ‘a pit’, or a ‘place a person sinks down into’.

WHEN PEOPLE COME TO CHRIST, THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY MADE ALIVE, BUT ARE STILL WOUNDED FROM LIFE OUTSIDE OF CHRIST.

Even believers get wounded by rejection, abandonment, words of death spoken against them as well as the persecutions of life in general!

A WOUNDED SOUL CANNOT RECEIVE GOD’S PROMISES, OR KEEP THEM.

Wounded souls will have relational issues, they will be over sensitive, easily offended, and their flesh will manifest under pressure, bringing condemnation and a sense of hopelessness. If your flesh keeps manifesting, you need to be made whole and healed! Jesus will turn your crushed grapes into new wine!

 HOW DID JESUS HEAL THEM?

HE SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED THEM!

After those that had been set free from slavery in Egypt had passed away… their sons and daughters cried out to God in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. They had been living in the wilderness, going round the mountain for forty years… After they cried out to the Lord, He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Moses was dead, so the Lord spoke to Joshua, and gave him the same promise that He gave Moses… only this time, the Lord sent His Word and made them whole, so that they would be able to possess their inheritance. Here is the account of the Lord’s instruction to them…

Joshua 1:7-8… “Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law (the Word of God) which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law (the Word of God) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. FOR THEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.”

The Lord commanded them to receive from His Word day and night… as they spoke the Word, studied the Word, sat under the anointed teaching of the Word, and meditated upon the Word, the anointing and power on the Word made them whole. As whole believers, they made their way prosperous and had good success… they crossed over Jordan, defeated Jericho, and received their promise!

James 1:21 says that ‘the implanted Word, or the Word that is planted in your heart, has the POWER to save your soul.’ The same Word that made the children of Israel whole has the power to make you and I whole. Just like Israel, we will be hindered in receiving our promised inheritance until we are made whole. Our wounds have to be healed, so that we can be fully used as kings and priests in Christ, for such a time as this!

LISTEN TO THE WORD OF GRACE AND FAITH BEING PREACHED - STUDY THE WORD - SPEAK THE WORD - RECEIVE HEALING FROM THE ANOINTING ON THE WORD BY FAITH - DO THE WORD, AND BE MADE WHOLE BY THE ANOINTING ON THE WORD!

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) says, “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12 Paraphrase “The spoken Word of God is alive, anointed and powerful. It cuts through and gets to the core of things like a two-edged sword… when Jesus speaks the Word and then when we declare it in agreement, it becomes a two-edged sword. The anointed, living, spoken Word pierces, heals and makes whole the soul (mind, will and emotions), the spirit, the bones, the body our thinking and the intents of our hearts.”

 CONFESSION

“Lord Jesus, send your Word and heal me! Send your Word and make me whole!

As I sit under your Word, I receive it’s healing power!

As I speak your Word, it imparts wholeness into my inner being.

As I meditate upon your Word, it transforms my brokenness into strength.

Your implanted Word saves my soul, and makes me whole!

I receive wholeness and healing from the Word now, in Jesus Name!”

 In His amazing Love, Nick
