Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Luke 17:12-19

As Jesus entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So, when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And ONE OF THEM, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, GIVING HIM THANKS. And he was a Samaritan. So, Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

New American Bible (Revised Edition) gives the most accurate translation of verse 19, “Then he said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has SAVED you.”” The Greek word that most translations either translate as ‘made you well’, or ‘made you whole’ is ‘sozo’… referring to the salvation, or the prospering of the total man… total wholeness, complete heath in every area of your body, prosperity, total deliverance from all harmful conditions, supernatural protection and being blessed with every blessing.

All ten lepers were HEALED, but only the ONE who returned to Jesus to GIVE THANKS received ‘SOZO’. Take a minute and meditate on that!

This last Sunday, I gave a word on ‘The Gratitude Anointing’, the focus of this word from the Lord was on ‘FAITH GRATITUDE’, not just being thankful for past victories, but giving thanks in the midst of the battle like Jehoshaphat and Judah did when they gave thanks while marching into the battle BY FAITH in THE WORD of His promise. An anointing to receive what the Lord has given is released as we GIVE THANKS by faith, based upon the Word of His promise.

Here is the REVELATION… the one man, who was healed of leprosy and returned to GLORIFY Jesus to give thanks, did more than just say, “thank You Jesus for healing me”, scripture says that he GLORIFIED God, and fell down on his face at HIS feet, GIVING HIM THANKS. ‘This man recognized Jesus as God…’ again, it says, “he glorified God, and fell down on his face at HIS (Jesus’) feet, giving Him (Jesus) thanks.” The man placed faith in Jesus as his God, and worshipped Him, giving Him thanks BY FAITH, knowing that he received much more than healing that day… as he did so the ‘gratitude anointing’ came upon him and he received ‘sozo’.

Take a minute to give thanks today BY FAITH in the midst of your battle… thank Jesus as you believe that you RECEIVE all of His promised blessings right now… receive ‘sozo’ right now, in Jesus name!

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TPT) “In the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.”

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

In His amazing Love, Nick
