Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 90:1 (AMP)
Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations.
How great is our God and how great is His mighty Name! For all the ages, men and women who have loved Him and who have gone before us, made Him, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, their dwelling place. He has been the stability of thousands who have gone before us. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Today, He is reminding us that He is our dwelling place.
Today, rest your mind on Him and in Him. Let His peace surround, you. Let Him be your sanctuary today. Let Him be your stability today.
In today’s society you often hear the word ‘sanctuary city’ - my friends, you can find sanctuary in Him today. That means, in God, the plans of the enemy cannot succeed. In Him you are fully protected.
Determine today to put on the mind of Christ, put your thoughts on the greatness of God and His ability to protect, nurture, and keep you safe and secure. Declare today that He is your dwelling place. Find your refuge in Him today. I speak peace over you today.
I speak faith over you today in Jesus’ name. Through His Grace, He has made available to you rest in Him, stability in Him, refuge in Him, don’t put yourself in a place where you do not take God up on His beautiful offer as Hebrews 4:1 puts it so well, ‘Now God has offered to us the same promise of entering into his realm of resting in confident faith. So, we must be extremely careful to ensure that we all embrace the fullness of that promise and not fail to experience it.’
He wants you in a place of rest. He is your dwelling place… allow Him to be that in your life.
