As you take the time to draw near to the Lord, He will manifest Himself in your life, He will pull you into the deep places in the realm of the Spirit and He will reveal things to you that He has not revealed to others. Hungry and thirsty believers have personal encounters with God that go beyond what casual believers experience.
‘Drawing near’ is putting away your smartphone, getting away from social media, getting rid of all distractions and really being ‘present’ in your time with the Lord. Many believers pray and have their devotion while driving, cooking, checking out social media, or multitasking inn other areas… they are praying and worshipping and listening to the Word, but they are not altogether ‘present’.
That is like kissing your wife of husband while watching TV – not good! Including the Lord in your daily activities is good, but we have to make the time to give Him exclusivity!
Set time aside where you can be quiet, focused and 100% present, mentally, emotionally and spiritually 100% drawing near to Him with all of your being! As you do this He will draw you into Himself, transform you and bless you beyond words!
