Do not be terrified of your adversaries… do not allow fear to dominate you in the face of the spirit of COVID-19, or in the face of the government trying to force compliance, or in the face of anything that you may be facing - stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. Reacting in fear or terror is proof and evidence to our adversary the devil that his tactics are working!
What is the bible saying when it says, ‘it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake?’ The early church suffered continual persecution because they refused to bow to anything other than the Word or the leading of the Spirit. They were granted and given GRACE, or supernatural ability to endure suffering and persecution. They were persecuted, but would not bow… they endured spiritual attack, attack from religious leaders, attack from governing authorities and even attack form fellow compromising believers. Suffering and enduring hardship was a part of their lives.
In this time of mandatory lockdown that many states as well as many countries are subject to, home meetings, church gatherings, laying hands on people and pretty much the whole great commission has been outlawed, unless you do it by telephone or online. We are doing things by telephone and online, but some things just cannot be done by telephone or online – driving over and laying hands on people inflicted with COVID-19 would be considered stupidity and definitely illegal, however the bible tells us to lay hands on the sick and they will recover… not virtually lay hands, physically lay hands.
For you as members of the body of Christ, we have to be salt and light and continue the works of Jesus! This is an essential service, no matter what the government says! Do not allow yourself to resist the Holy Spirit out of terror or fear or ungodly control. Ask yourself, ‘would Jesus be hiding in His house if He were alive today?’ – well, He is alive… He is alive in Heaven, and He is alive in you and I, and He is depending on us as His hands and His feet to continue His ministry!
If we run and hide and if we restrict ourselves to online activity, the world will be in BIG trouble! Social distancing and shutting down the planet will not and cannot kill COVID-19! Only the anointing, the blood of Jesus and the power of God can stop this! We as the body of Christ are this world’s only hope! This thing is escalating at such an alarming rate and is killing so many people in spite of all efforts. China may believe that lockdown has made a difference, but in reality… hundreds of thousands of radical believers risked their lives, went out, laid hands, prayed in unity, met secretly and partook of communion and took the anointing and stood between the living and the dead. These radical believers are the true heroes! This is our time… do not run and hide… STAND UP and be a king and a priest in Christ! Let’s kill this thing that is trying to destroy our planet… in Jesus Name!
