Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 2 Corinthians 4:13
Since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.
This is how faith works - first we believe, then we speak… and you can add to that, “then we see what we have said.”
A believer has to have a revelation of something to believe and to be fully convinced. One of the problems with many teachings on Mark 11:23 is that in many cases emphasis is mostly placed on speaking – not enough emphasis is placed on believing… Mark 11:23 – ‘For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.’
Meditating upon the Word as led by the Spirit until you get a revelation on something is the key. Once you get a revelation, you become fully convinced and you do not doubt in your heart – THEN you speak… when you speak out of your revelation, you speak differently than someone who speaks with an empty heart – when you speak out of revelation, you speak faith!
When you speak faith, you will have whatever you say! First believe, then speak… and then you will have what you say! That is how New Covenant faith works!
