Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 1:6
“To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
The Father has made us accepted in and through Christ Jesus.
In Romans 5:8-11, it says that “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified [Just as if I never sinned] by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled,
we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
The Father has made you acceptable through Jesus.
You do not make yourself acceptable through your own works. Trying to make ourselves acceptable and trying to gain rightstanding with God through our own efforts is a futile attempt.
The Father has already MADE us righteous in Christ, so our job is simply to humbly accept the grace given to us and to put our trust in the finished work of Jesus.
Worship the Father today knowing that He loves you, values you and that you are perfect in His sight because of Jesus!
Blessings on you, Nick
