Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Your soul is the catalyst for all true prosperity…
If your soul is in poverty you simply cannot contain New Covenant prosperity. Jesus has given us prosperity in the New Covenant, but a defeated, broken soul is like a strainer instead of a cup. When you pour water into a strainer, it flows right through, but it is contained and will eventually overflow in a cup. God wants us full and overflowing in everything, but we have to exchange our full of holes strainer for His cup to receive and to contain His blessings.
YOUR SOUL IS YOUR MIND, WILL AND EMOTIONS…
YOUR SOUL IS YOUR PROCESSOR – IT PROCESSES EVERYTHING THAT YOU FACE
BROKEN PROCESSOR - BROKEN LIFE…
Even the smallest things can mess you up if you process them wrongly. A hurt, broken poverty soul processes everything to it’s demise. Instead of counting trials pure joy, a poverty soul counts every trial as defeat. Instead of having faith that all tests will become testimonies, a broken, hurting, damaged soul believes that every test will bring defeat and hardship.
A prosperous soul maintains joy and peace in believing, a prosperous soul has a Philippians 4:8 mindset, a prosperous soul never blames, but always trusts and a prosperous soul knows that all things work together for good to those that love Jesus and are called according to His purpose!
WHAT CAUSES OUR SOULS TO PROSPER?
It says in James 1:21 that the implanted Word will save and prosper our souls…
‘Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.’ (James 1:21-22)
This scripture is not referring to getting born again; it is talking about soul prosperity. The word ‘save’ is the Greek word ‘sozo’ which includes healing, deliverance, protection and prosperity.
THE IMPLANTED, ENGRAFTED WORD ON THE INSIDE OF YOU WILL PROSPER YOUR SOUL WHEN YOU ACT ON IT.
Here is what we can do to enter the process of healing and prospering our souls…
#1. Get the Word planted into your mind will and emotions.
#2. Then step out and act on it
WE PLANT THE WORD BY SPEAKING AND DECLARING IT AND MEDITATING ON IT…
Israel had been given the Promised Land, but they could not receive it because their souls were in poverty. The abuse that they had endured while slaves was soul destroying. They were as grasshoppers in their own sight compared to the giants in the land. Because of the state of their souls, they did not believe in themselves and they did not have faith to trust the Lord, even though He had parted the sea and even though they walked through on dry land. The Lord had to heal their hearts and prosper their souls before they could receive their promised prosperity.
Let’s look at the Lord’s instruction to them in Joshua 1:8…
‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.’
After meditating on the Word, and declaring and confessing the Word day and night, their hearts were healed, their minds were renewed, their desires changed and their emotions were healed and renewed. They exchanged their strainers for whole cups and they began to retain and overflow on the inside. Faith rose us in them, courage rose up in them and they rose up and took their land. The difference was the state of their souls.
Romans 10:8-10 says,The Word is near you, in your mouthand in your heart, that is, the Word of faith, which we preach: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Sozo)
As you declare the implanted Word, confession is made unto prosperity…
A Renewed, Spirit controlled mind, emotions and will is a renewed processor. A renewed, anointed processor will work together with the Lord as He works everything together for our good!
A prosperous soul never looses hope or faith!
A PROSPEROUS SOUL ALWAYS RECEIVES EVERY GOOD THING FROM THE FATHER!
