Today’s devotion is from 2 Corinthians 3:9 (AMP)
For if the ministry that brings condemnation [the old covenant, the Law] has glory, how much more does glory overflow in the ministry that brings righteousness [the New Covenant which declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God’s special purpose]!
Condemnation is something that the devil uses to put us down, to steal our hope and to pour guilt onto us. The New Covenant declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God’s special purpose. As we renew our minds, we need to determine never to be a part of any action or to never speak any words that condemn, that put another person down or that puts a guilt trip on others.
When someone gets into strife they face the greatest temptation to put the other person down and to bring condemnation and guilt. When potential strife of discord knocks on the door, release the glory and the anointing of the Holy Spirit over yourself, your situation as well as over the person or people concerned, then, if you are going to say or do something, make sure it is full of life and love and that it lifts and sets free.
I felt strongly that this is a word for someone today. If it is for you, receive it and do it, in Jesus Name!
