Today’s devotion is from Hebrews 10:16-17 (NLT)
“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Today, I am continuing the study of New Covenant laws…
The New Covenant laws are the law of liberty, the law of faith, the law of righteousness and the law of Christ. In yesterday’s teaching we studied the perfect law of liberty, today we are going to study the law of faith.
The law of faith…
Romans 3:27 says, ‘Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.’ The law of faith tells us that everything that is not of faith is sin. (Romans 14:23) Scripture tells us in Romans 1:17 and in Galatians 3:11 as well as in Hebrews 10:38 that the Righteous shall live by faith. Living by faith is living a life in total dependence and reliance on God. Living by faith is being fully persuaded that God is and that God is a rewarder. Living by faith is considering the Word of God as our source of truth above every circumstance, opinion or so-called fact. Living by faith is speaking to mountains, calling those things that do not exist as though they did and stepping out and walking on water at the command of our Lord. Living by faith is being Spirit led and never doubting the final outcome of victory in Christ.
We live by faith and by the law of faith though the grace given to us in Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing. Faith is a gift and increases as we hear and hear and hear the Word… faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word. The law of faith is tied into every other New Covenant law… as we live by the law of faith, it increases our liberty and freedom, our joy and our peace. - Selah
