Today’s devotion is from Ephesians 1:16-19
‘I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; THAT YOU MAY KNOW what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of HIS INHERITANCE in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.’
As we look at Ephesians 1:16-19 there are three keys that are imparted to equip us to receive and to walk in our inheritance…
1. We need the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus. Knowing WHO Jesus is and WHAT Jesus did for us in the light of the New Covenant is key.
2. We need the eyes of our understanding or our spiritual eyes opened. Your spirit man has eyes and your spirit’s eyes have to be open in order to KNOW the hope of His calling and what the riches of His inheritance for you are.
3. We need to know that the way that we operate according to our inheritance is by the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, and according to the working of His mighty power in and through us.
During today’s devotion, ask the Holy Spirit to help you in those three areas and to increase your understanding and ability to walk in those three things by grace through faith, in Jesus Name!
