“…Receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.”
Your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions.
When you get born again, your spirit man gets saved, but your soul [mind, will and emotions] still needs transformation. Unless you renew your mind and put on the mind of Christ, you will not be able to perceive or receive the things that the Lord has for you.
(The natural man does not and cannot receive things from the Spirit of God. Your inheritance, your calling, divine opportunities, divine strategies and supernatural keys to unlock doors of blessing are all given by the Holy Spirit directly to your spirit and they are spiritually discerned with the mind of Christ.
‘The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned… but we have the mind of Christ.’ - 1 Corinthians 2:14-16)
The implanted Word contains the POWER to transform your MIND.
The soul is more than just the mind, it also includes your will and your emotions, but for the purpose of this study, let’s focus on our minds.
The implanted Word contains POWER to transform, renew, reshape and reprogram your mind.
You can literally PLANT the Word into your mind and that implanted Word will produce a harvest of new thoughts, new values, a new perspective, new revelation knowledge, wisdom from above as well as new ideals and a new way of doing things.
The Word contains every promise that God has for you in seed form.
The Word contains the promises of God in seed form, but it also contains POWER and ANOINTING to TRANSFORM your mind to the mind of Christ so that you can understand, receive and implement the harvest from the implanted Word.
How do we plant the Word into our hearts?
In Mark 4:14-20 Jesus teaches us that we can sow the Word into our hearts. We sow and plant the Word into our hearts by speaking and declaring the Word by faith.
Every Word of God is alive and full of power.
The Word is supernatural ability in seed form, it is healing and health, provision, prosperity and wisdom in seed form. The Word is full of power for miracles, full of anointing to break bondage and full of grace and unmerited favor, in seed form.
The Word is your future promise, your future ministry, your future land, buildings, vehicles and tools to get the job done, in seed form. The Word is your future spouse, your future children, your future family, friends, divine connections and help just when you need it, in seed form. Everything you need and everything that you MUST have is given to you in seed for in the Word.
You have to SOW that Word into your hearts and allow it to transform your soul, [your mind, will and emotions] so that you can partake of your future harvest!
The Lord instructed Joshua and the children of Israel to sow the Word into their hearts by MEDITATING on [studying, considering and confessing] the Word day and night, and that by doing so that they would make their way prosperous and have good success.
They had to renew their minds and transform their thinking from the slave mentality of Egypt (grasshopper mentality) to knowing who they were as covenant children of God. Their old un-renewed mindset kept them out of their promised land for 40 years, and before they could receive their promise, they had to sow the Word into themselves until it changed the way they saw themselves, until it changed their thinking, their values, their self image, their image of God and until it starved their fears and fed their faith. With renewed, transformed minds, Israel was able to do what they could not and would not do before… they crossed over, seized their inheritance and ate the fruit of the land.
