Today’s devotion is from Psalm 103:8,10-12
“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear [worship] Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
Beloved, God does not deal with His covenant people according to their sins.
Thank God for that, because if He did we would not be here anymore, we would be utterly destroyed!
Jesus dealt with our sins on the cross so that the Father would not have to deal with us according to our sins. He who had no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
When a believer’s thoughts are dominated with sin consciousness…Instead of his thoughts being dominated by the power of God through Christ that has destroyed the power of sin, that believer will live in condemnation and remain under sin’s dominion. When a believer fixes his mind on the fact that he is a righteous, justified and holy child of the Most High in Christ, sin’s dominion will be forever broken… as a man/woman thinks, so is he/she.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He is not out to disqualify us; He is all about qualifying us. He is not out to break you, He is out to make you, He is not looking to curse you, He is looking for ways to bless you!
God loves you and He will make a way where there is no way, praise God who always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus.
Praise God Who turns every test into a testimony, every trial into a triumph and every battle into a victory! Friends, do not buy the lie that the sins of your past disqualify you. God is not in the business of dealing with us according to our sins. Get rid of sin consciousness and put on God consciousness and grace consciousness. You are the righteousness of God in Christ and by His grace, the Lord has made you acceptable in the Beloved!
CONFESSION
"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor does He punish us according to our iniquities.
As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who reverently worship Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
I declare, “God does not see sin when He looks at me, He sees me in Christ, perfect, righteous and without fault. I have been made acceptable in the beloved.”
I am not sin conscious, I am God conscious, I am righteous conscious.
My beloved is mine, and I am His and His banner over me is LOVE!"
